SOS Educational Webcast: Déjà vu All Over Again: Stock Plan Issues That Come Up Over and Over
As experienced Stock Administration Managers, we have noticed that certain issues seem to pop up time and again, causing headaches wherever we go. Different companies manage their trading windows, release dates, documentation and other processes in a variety of ways, some of which can be quite creative. We will present a sampling of these issues, noting the problem and the reason that it is important. We’ll give some examples of our experiences, and we’ll discuss the best ways to handle these problem issues.

Laura Reis, CEP, Cylance Inc.
Laura joined Cylance Inc., in January 2017 as the Director of Equity Administration. Previously she spent 3 years at Square where she helped the company prepare for its IPO and build out the company’s equity administration team and programs. Laura served in similar positions with Zynga, BEA, 3Com and Sybase. In her career, she has managed large-scale equity administration projects and teams for companies with as many as 13,000 employees in 43 countries. In addition to managing administration in-house, Laura was employed by Stock & Option Solutions, Inc. (SOS) for more than 6 years as Director of Data Solutions where she specialized in project work, M & A activity, migration of data and implementation of new systems. Laura earned her Certified Equity Professional (CEP) in 1997.

Sarah has been a Senior Equity Consultant with Stock & Option Solutions for the past eight years. She has 20 years of experience in equity plan consulting. At SOS, Sarah has focused on best practices and department management, and has coordinated a variety of projects for her clients, including financial reporting, system implementation, ESPP implementation and database adjustments. She has been a presenter for the NCEO’s CEPI Exam Prep Course for the past three years. Sarah received her CEP from Santa Clara University in 2007, and she holds an MBA from the Andersen School at UCLA.
