As the population ages, the number of reports of abuse in later life is rising. In many cases, the abuser is an intimate partner, adult child or other family member or caregiver of the older victim. This session will address how to identify and effectively respond to domestic violence and sexual abuse in later life. You will hear from older survivors as we explore indicators and dynamics of abuse in later life. You will learn more about practical strategies and resources to address safety needs and to enhance the quality life of older victims.
