The Huffington Post has pledged to cover more news with a positive bent in the new “What’s Working” section, and its executive editor will talk about the initiative with corporate social responsibility and sustainability communicators during a free 3BL Media webinar at noon ET on Sept. 7.

The interactive presentation is designed to provide corporate, nonprofit and agency communicators NGO executives an overview of the news outlet’s news focus. The HuffPost is the third most popular news site, behind Yahoo News and Google News, according to eBizMBA Rank June 2016 data.

The HuffPost introduced “What’s Working” shortly after founder Ariana Huffington named Confino to the post of executive editor.  Previously, Confino was executive editor of the Guardian.

3BL Media has designed the “Best Practice” webinar series to provide professional development opportunities in the growing field of sustainability communications. Content ranges from practitioners discussing award-winning social impact initiatives to members of the media offering suggestions on how they prefer to be pitched.

Note, 3BL Media webinars are free to attend. Registrants will receive the 3BL Media News Alert, a daily summary of news about CSR and sustainability.
