Advancing Literacy with Boardmaker Online


 Your Boardmaker Online account provides the resources you need to find and create individualized activities to support literacy instruction and achievement.  This training will show you how to access literacy activities that are already created and aligned with educational standards, and how to create your own performance-tracking literacy activities for your unique students.  We will explore the data that is collected when students complete their assignments in Boardmaker Online, and discuss sharing that data.  .1 ASHA CEU offered.


Learning objectives:                   

Participants will be able to:

  1. Show 2 ways to find literacy activities that have already been created within Boardmaker Online.
  2. List 3 Boardmaker Online activity starter templates that may be used to create activities to support literacy in your setting.
  3. Discuss the data that is collected when students perform literacy activities within Boardmaker Online and how that data may be used and shared to improve student performance.
Presented by:

Enid Hurtado received her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and her teaching credential in Special Education: Moderate to Severe from San Diego State University.  She worked as a Special Education Teacher for 6 years in California and Colorado with children of varying disabilities, Pre-12. After leaving the public school system, she worked as a behavior specialist for an Early Intervention Program. She currently educates and trains parents and professionals on the use of Boardmaker products for instruction.
